WE ARE LEARNING TO WRITE AN ARGUMENT:

COLOURFUL FIREWORKS:

I think fireworks should not be banned.

I think this because families can have picnics together and celebrate Guy Fawkes. People could have lots of fun watching the fireworks.

I think people should still have fireworks because everyone can watch them. People can go to public displays and they can watch fireworks there.

That is why I think fireworks should not be banned.

BANNED FIREWORKS:

I think that fireworks should be banned.

Some people tie fireworks to animals. People tied fireworks to a bird and lit them.

Fireworks are loud and people can get deaf.

Some people light fireworks in houses and trees. They might catch on fire.

That is why fireworks should be banned.

WE ARE LEARNING TO WRITE AN ARGUMENT:

THE BIG BANG:

I think that all fireworks should be banned.

I think this because fireworks can burn down a tree which is bad for the environment.

The noise from the fireworks scares animals and they run away.

The smoke that comes from the fireworks is bad for the ozone layer.

That is why I think that fireworks should be banned.

DESTROYER FIREWORKS:

I think that fireworks should be banned.

Fireworks can burn down trees because the heat from the fireworks could start a fire. The fireworks could break down the ozone layer by the pollution they make. The smoke could go into the earth’s atmosphere. There could be no more oxygen for people to breath.

Some silly people could blow up a car with fireworks. People would have to buy a new car.

Fireworks can scare animals. If people have pets they can go crazy with the noise fireworks make.

That is why I think that fireworks should be banned.

WE ARE LEARNING TO WRITE A CONCRETE POEM
USING ALLITERATION AND SIMILES:

Cute cuddly cat.
As cute as a dog.
As bouncy as a rabbit.
Playful and pretty.
As cheeky as a mouse.

WE ARE LEARNING TO WRITE A CONCRETE POEM
USING ALLITERATION AND SIMILES:

Shiny spider slides down a scary slope,
very slowly,
As slow as a snake in the sunlight.

WE ARE LEARNING TO WRITE A CONCRETE POEM
USING ALLITERATION AND SIMILES:

A camel eats cactus as spiky as a hedgehog.
A camel can walk halfway through the desert fresh like an apple.
Furry and funny.
Fantastic and cool.
