THE BIG BANG:

I think that all fireworks should be banned.

I think this because fireworks can burn down a tree which is bad for the environment.

The noise from the fireworks scares animals and they run away.

The smoke that comes from the fireworks is bad for the ozone layer.

That is why I think that fireworks should be banned.

SWIMMING CARNIVAL

Last week on Thursday the Pohutukawa Syndicate had their swimming carnival in the school pool. At the start I was scared. First we did a starfish. Then we did a handshake. Next we did a piggyback race. Then I got out and had a chat to Harry. I was cold.

It was super.

I felt happy when I went to Norway because mum and dad wanted to go somewhere on holiday. I made a new friend called Louis. When I got back to New Zealand I had a party. It was fun.

SCHOOL

On February the 3rd I went back to school. I was going to be in Room 14. I was happy because I missed my friends. I couldn’t wait!

GOING SWIMMING

Room 14 went to the pool this morning. First I practised breathing underwater. The pool was very cold but after a little while the water felt warm. I can’t wait to go swimming again!
